On 10/7/22 BBB asked the business to substantiate the following claims on their website:
- “Rick Simpson oil: We will make Rick Simpson oil for you, try the new way to fight cancer”
- “CBG White is full of terpenes and guaidol great for inflammation, chron’s, pain, bowel disease and certain cancers”
- “Goliath CBD has a very skunky aroma and wonderful aroma and flavor great for concentration and focus”
BBB’s Code of Advertising requires advertisers to be prepared to substantiate such claims through independent scientific testing. BBB requested clinical substantiation for the above health claims and as of 12/12/22 BBB has not received a response to our request for substantiation. We will update this information if the business responds.
During our review we also noted that the business sells CBD added to food products (specifically, gummies) and these items are sold to consumers via interstate. CBD and delta-8 THC are unapproved food additives for use in any human or animal food product, as the FDA is not aware of any basis to conclude that the substances are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) or otherwise exempt from food additive requirements. On 10/7/22 BBB requested documentation from the business affirming that their current sales via interstate are permitted.
As of 12/12/22 BBB has not received a response to our request for documentation affirming that their current sales via interstate are permitted. We will update this information if the business responds.
