After reviewing complaints and receiving information from an event venue, BBB opened an investigation on September 1, 2015. BBB received information the business may be attempting to hold a new expo called the South Texas Business Expo in Corpus Christi at the American Bank Center (http://www.southtexasbusinessexpo.com/), though, per documents received, the venue has not yet approved this event as the business and owner did not pay a previous venue center after cancelling an event there in 2014.
As an alert to potential clients, BBB complaints on the business started in 2014 and allege the business holds various events and conferences throughout Texas and solicits businesses to set up vendor booths for the events for fees ranging from $100 to $500. Complaints allege the events are cancelled shortly before the scheduled dates; however, the businesses are then unable to receive refunds or responses from Seamless Industries. In response to correspondence, the business informed the BBB on March 23, 2015 that it had closed; however, BBB recently learned of the new expo, planned to be held in Corpus Christi. In addition, please be aware this business uses multiple different names, including the following: Seamless Industries, Consumer Direct Events, Seamless Inc., soBright Media, and South Texas Business Expo. BBB contacted the business on November 13, 2015 but has not received a response.
