BBB is unable to locate this debt collection agency. The city of Miami, OH where the business purports to be located does not exist and the business refuses to supply BBB with any alternate mailing address. Emails sent to Customerservice@FRAGROUP.net on March 8, 2016 were returned as undeliverable.
Consumers state to BBB that First Recovery Associates is collecting on behalf of two payday loan businesses, Highland Holdings and GTI Holdings. The BBBs where these businesses are located state that these businesses are no longer operating. The Delaware BBB specifically states that any collection efforts claimed to be based on a debt owed to GTI is a fraudulent collection attempt.
BBB offers the following advice to consumers if they receive a suspicious telephone call about an outstanding debt:
• Ask the debt collector to provide official documentation which substantiates the debt.
• Do not provide or confirm any bank account, credit card or other personal information over the phone until you have confirmed the legitimacy of the call.
