Refund and Exchange Policy

The training agreement does not constitute acontract until an official of the School has approved it. If an agreement isnot approved, all monies paid will be refunded with a letter from the Schoolexplaining the reasons for the rejection. It is expressed understood and agreedthat refunds shall be made only in accordance with the following terms andconditions:

A. All tuitionpaid will be refunded if the student cancels prior to the start of thescheduled class. Students can cancel for any reason.

B. Except forcontracts executed by schools licensed by the NYS Education Department andsubject to the refund provisions of regulations promulgated by thatDepartment, prepayment for lessons and other services shall be subject torefund as follows:
*If thestudent, having given prior notice of at least 24 hours, withdraws fromor discontinues a prepaid course of instruction or series of lessonsbefore completion thereof, or from any other service for which prepaymenthas been made, or if the school is unable or unwilling to complete suchprepaid course of instruction, or series of lessons, or to provide suchother prepaid service, all payments made by the student to the school shallbe refunded except:
*An amountequal to the enrollment fee, if any, specified in the contract orexpressly receipted for, not to exceed the sum of $10 or ten percent ofthe total, whichever is greater, or the specified cost of such course ofinstruction or series of lessons and
*The school’sper lesson tuition charge for each lesson already taken by the studentwhich charge shall be determined  by dividing the total cost of suchcourse of instruction or series of lessons by the number of lessons included therein.
C.Through thefirst 50% of the training program, tuition charges will not exceed apro-rata portion of the tuition for the period of training completed.Training completed is based on the last day attended by the student andwill include all days of scheduled training before that date regardless ofwhether the student actually attended a scheduled day.

D. After 50% ofthe period of training is completed, the student is obligated for thetotal amount of all tuition and fees.

E. If the Schoolfor any reason does not accept a student, the School will refund allmonies paid by the student.

F. If a studentfails the D.O.T Physical Examination, the student will be terminated fromthe program and charged for the test. All other monies paid will berefunded.

G. If a studentfails the Drug Screen, the student will be terminated from the program andcannot reapply for acceptance for one (1) year, will be charged for thetest, and item C of the refund policy will be in effect,

H.If a programis cancelled subsequent to a student’s enrollment, the School will refundall monies.

I. The Schoolshall not be responsible for any monies paid to the Department of MotorVehicles or for any monies paid for physical examinations.

J. All refundswill be made to the source of the tuition payment within thirty (30) calendardays of the termination date, unless the School is authorized in writingto take other action.

K. Studentsfalsifying records are subject to termination of enrollment at any pointin the program. The above refund policy will be in effect.

*** Persons receiving GI Benefits upon leaving theprogram will be refunded on a pro rata basis; further, the unused portion ofthe registration deposit is refunded if the person does not begin classes.
