About

About This Business

My career with Allstate started with a part-time job with a local agency in 1979 while I was a student at Eastern Michigan University. The job was a great opportunity to work with people and get involved in the community. I worked with local police and fire departments to establish safety and educational programs that are still around today. Since opening my own agency in 1998, the Allstate Foundation has continued to support the safety programs that launched my career. Outside of the office, I love to work in the yard, go camping and spend as much time as possible with my family, which includes grandkids now. I also love to travel and have gone as far away as Australia and Hawaii, but I’m always happy to be home in Michigan. It’s where my husband and I raised our children, and I’m ecstatic that all three of my kids work in the Bowker Agencies. My team includes many longtime employees, so you will get the consistency that comes with working with familiar faces and a family-run business. You’ll see us at the annual Passport to Safety event, where you can learn about fire safety, water and bike safety, get a car seat check and talk about teen driving. We support breast cancer walks, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, back-to-school events and Little League, youth hockey and adult baseball teams. My team knows what it means to protect what matters most in life, and we can help you protect what is important to you. We look forward to hearing from you!
