If your buying a home and looking for home owners insurance Allstate is NOT the company you want. They claim your in good hands when in reality they destroy your dreams. After months and months we were able to close on our new home at the beginning of November 2020, not even 2 weeks later I receive a call from Allstate telling me I have 29 days to get a new roof put on my house or they cancel my home owners insurance. Did I have a home inspection done prior to purchasing our home? You bet we did and got a 2 year warranty on the roof. Our inspection was done by a professional who actually looked at our roof both inside and out as oppose to the Allstate agent who flew a drone over our roof and took 1 picture of 7 shingles and he claims we must put on a roof in 29 days during the holidays not to mention I live in Ohio and it's winter here snow, rain , ice all the things that make it real easy to climb up on a roof and tear it off. Now we are looking a the very big possibility of losing our home loan and then our home. We have barley been in our home for a month and thanks to Allstate we're probably going to loose it. 5 years of saving and sacrificing to have some pompous jackass that couldn't tell the head from a hole in the ground say that 7 lifting shingles requires a whole new roof asap. Allstate is the absolute worst. They don't care about you or your family just their bottomline. What a disgrace Allstate you should really be ashamed of your company and it's CEO's.
