Customers filing BBB complaints stated that the business has not completed their pools after contracting with the business, including customers that have waited 10 or more months. Other complaints involved delays in completing warranty work and failure to timely respond to customer service inquiries.
BBB contacted the business in February 2021 regarding these complaint issues, and since has been in regular communication with the owners. Olympus Pools believes that the complaint issues result from a combination of a high increase in volume and industry conditions causing delays that lead to frustrations. There has been an explosion in the volume of pools purchased since the beginning of the pandemic. In addition to the challenges of demand, as a custom pool builder the business has been challenged by labor and material shortages causing delays industry-wide.
