- Advertising Review:As part of an industry-wide review of CBD businesses in our service area, BBB requested that Lost Range CBD modify its website and social media advertising to be in compliance with the BBB Code of Advertising.
On February 11 and February 25, 2022, BBB contacted the business in regards to their website advertising which features claims about the health benefits of CBD Oil.
Section 34 of the BBB Code of Advertising addresses Claimed Results, where it states, "Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data."
BBB requested that the business review their advertising and provide substantiation based on reliable, recent, competent testing for each of the health claims made and to discontinue any advertising that is in violation of FDA and FTC mandates for this industry.
The business did not respond to BBB’s concerns.
