At Poseidon Consulting, LLC in Stafford, Virginia, our mission is to provide high-quality, professional consulting services to the Department of Veterans Affairs, or DVA, private government contractors supporting DVA education programs, and educational institutions of higher learning. Through this goal, we meet and surpass our primary goal of resolving veteran education benefits issues, which include but are not limited to payment delays, billing complaints, financial and systems policy issues, and DVA's Debt Management System issues with educational institutions and training centers.

Poseidon Consulting was legally established on June 26, 2012, in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a privately owned limited liability corporation (LLC).  The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Poseidon Consulting, LLC, is Derrick Anthony Williams, Jr.  Mr. Williams is a United States Air Force veteran and industry executive with over 20 years of professional experience inn higher education, health care, accounting and finance, audit, cost/benefit analyses, management studies, and grants management.  Mr. Williams is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College with a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Business and Policy from the State University of New York (Rochester, NY).

Poseidon Consulting, LLC, will provide a series of high-quality management consulting services to the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and large to mid-size private government contractors engaged in resolving many of the outstanding veteran education issues, currently plaguing DVA.  The services Poseidon Consulting offer, include but are not limited to:
Management Studies 
This service involves Poseidon Consulting staff and outsourced contractors and consultants (if required) performing comprehensive assessments of educational institutions and authorized training facilities overall functionality relative to DVA's military education programs.  These studies will direct staff to examine specific functional areas of a college, university, or training facility including, but not limited to: finance, accounting, marketing, human resource management, and administrative functions.  Estimated total number of labor hours assigned to each study = 120 hours.
Operational and Financial Examinations
This service requires Poseidon Consulting to conduct in-depth examinations of the operational and/or financial policies and procedures of participating educational institutions and authorized training facilities to validate their compliance with DVA's established regulations.  Estimated total number of labor hours assigned to each examination = 80 hours.
Business Solution Analyses
Poseidon Consulting professional staff conducts issue-specific analyses of DVA or educational institutions' military programs to identify bottlenecks and/or challenges hindering the effective exchange of communication between service members, DVA, and educational institutions.  Estimated total numbers of labor hours assigned to complete each analysis = 40 hours.
Process and Systems Reviews
This service focuses on developing comprehensive reviews of the processes and systems used by DVA, educational institutions, and/or authorized training facilities to identify potential business risks and present actionable business solutions to mitigate potential issues or concerns.  Estimated total number of labor hours per review = 80 hours.
Case Audits
This service will involves the analysis of individual education benefits files of service members, veterans, and their dependents, to identify deficiencies and confirm policies and procedures are being adhered to by all parties (i.e., DVA personnel, benefits recipients, educational institutions, and authorized training facilities).  Estimated total number of labor hours per audit = 24 hours.
