The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations, which have not yet been proven.
On September 23 the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as 34 other states and the District of Columbia filed a civil complaint in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Charges filed allege the business is in violation of federal and state antitrust laws and state consumer-protection laws. The complaint alleges the company employed an unlawful scheme designed to prevent or delay less expensive generic versions of Suboxone from entering the market to preserve their monopoly profits from the sale of Suboxone. The matter is pending.
