          Pattern of Complaint:
          BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning consumers alleging they were led to mistakenly believe they were reserving the rooms directly from the hotel, as well as claims that Reservation Counter failed to refund consumers who cancelled well before the policy. On 2/21/2020 and again on 9/28/2020, BBB submitted a written request to the company encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints. On November 3rd, 2020, the company responded with a letter refuting the alleged claims and did not agree to take any action to resolve the pattern.

          Customer Complaint:
          Complaints received by BBB allege some customers assume they are dealing directly with the hotel while booking through Reservation Counter, which is not the case.  Reservation Counter is a travel agency. Each hotel has a different cancellation policy which is displayed on the hotel checkout page. BBB urges consumers to read and understand the cancellation policy prior to booking a reservation.
