    On November 1, BBB contacted VA Claims Academy, LLC regarding advertised claims on their website https://vaclaims-academy.com and videos on https://player.vimeo.com/video/876743399.

    VA Claims Academy, LLC's website advertises:

    "Win your VA disability claim in 3 months."

    Furthermore, the video on their homepage advertises similar claims including: 

    “You are 3 months away from winning your maximum VA rating even if you have been previously denied repeatedly in the past or lack the necessary evidence you can now easily win your claim.”

    “If you haven’t heard of us here at VA Claims Academy, just take a look at some of the feedback from some of our members because many of them were in your exact shoes facing a daunting VA application process where you receive no support low ball ratings or outright denials.”

    “I have created a battle-tested system that has won me the coveted 100 percent permanent and total rating and also helped thousands just like you.”

    “We solve these issues in 3 simple steps: 1st we give you a real look inside the VA’s playbook and show you how to beat them at their own game with our quick and easy video course you’ll know exactly how to file your winning claim.  Next, we equip you with evidence you need from our industry-leading personal statement and nexus letter writing service dedicated to translating your true story into the VA’s language. All you have to do is show up.  Finally, we prepare you for your compensation and pension exam.”

    VA Claims Academy, LLC's Vimeo page also makes claims including:

    “You have a fullywritten personal statement for you” “You can rest assure you don’t havewriter’s block you can submit that and know that your VA rating was maximizedbecause your true story was translated properly to what the VA is receptive tobecause all the language and verbiage has already been expertly baked in foryou.”

    BBB Code of Advertising states claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy, or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.  BBB requested VA Claims Academy, LLC to substantiate that their service results reflect what the typical consumer would achieve or discontinue the claims. 

    VA Claims Academy, LLC also advertises "Similar Services Charge Up To $15,000." 

    BBB Code of Advertising states BBB recognizes that truthful price informationhelps consumers make informed purchasing decisions and that comparative priceadvertising plays an important role in promoting vigorous competition amongretailers. At the same time, misleading or unsubstantiated pricing claimsinjure both consumers and competitors. 

    BBB Code of Advertising also states advertisers should be reasonably certain thatthe comparative price does not appreciably exceed the price at whichsubstantial sales of identical products or services have been made in the tradearea for which the claim is made for a reasonably substantial period of time,in the recent, regular course of business. Such comparisons must besubstantiated by the advertiser prior to making any advertised comparisons.Descriptive terminology often used by advertisers includes: “selling elsewhereat $____”

    BBB requested VA Claims Academy, LLC to explain whatprocesses are implemented in evaluating servicescomparable to services in their Trade Area continuously and if they did not have a process to monitor fluctuating prices in their services Trade Area to discontinue theadvertised claim. 

    Finally, VA Claims Academy, LLC advertises customer testimonials expressing results. 

    BBB Code of Advertising states in general, advertising which usestestimonials or endorsements is likely to mislead or confuse if it is notgenuine and does not actually represent the current opinion of the endorser. Ifa consumer’s experience represented in an advertisement is not the typicalexperience of those using the product or service, unless the advertisementclearly and conspicuously discloses what the expected results will be.  

    BBB requested VA Claims Academy, LLC to disclose and substantiate with scientific evidence the typical resultfrom customers’ testimonials and substantiate the testimonialsadvertised.

    As of November 30, 2023, VA Claims Academy, LLC failed to respond to BBB's requests.
