- Additional Info:On January 25, 2016, BBB contacted Directline Distributing, LLC dba Gradshop.com regarding concerns about its marketplace practices.
Specifically, Directline Distributing, LLC states " If within 30 days of your online purchase at Gradshop.com, you find the identical product nationally advertised for less by one of our competitors, we will refund to you 110% of the difference!" Details of the 'lowest price guarantee' under the subheading 'eligibility' on the company website stating "in order to verify current pricing and availability, price match requests must be received prior to ordering." The site further states that "price matching applies to the total item cost. This includes shipping handling, taxes, or any other applicable fee(s)."
BBB questioned how consumers can actually utilize the Gradshop.com 'lowest price guarantee' when it is impossible for consumers to meet both of these time-focused requirements as specified on the company website because they contradict one another. Thus, BBB requested a detailed description of the 'lowest price guarantee' to include, but was not limited to, specific narrative that demonstrates how consumers can actually meet all of the requirements in order to receive the promised refund of 110% of the difference, as well as a specific definition and/or examples of "any other applicable fee(s)".
As of February 17, 2016, Directline Distributing LLC dba Gradshop.com has failed to respond.
