            Advertising Review

            On January 6, 2021 BBB contacted It's Your Floor, Inc regarding advertised claims on their website http://www.itsyourfloor.com.

            The business advertises they have an “A plus rating from the Better Business Bureau for the past 12 years."

            BBB Code of Advertising states advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used. 

            It’s Your Floor, Inc. currently has a F rating with BBB for 2 unanswered complaints.

            BBB requested It’s Your Floor, Inc. to discontinue advertising “A plus rating.”

            The business also advertises they offer a “Lifetime warranty on all services” and a “One-year warranty to our customers on all product installations against product or installation defects.”

            BBB Code of Advertising states when using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser’s location, viewed on the advertiser’s website, or in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request.  Additionally, when advertising “lifetime” the advertisement must clearly and conspicuously disclose the intended meaning of the term “lifetime.”

            BBB requested It's Your Floor to provide a copy of their lifetime warranty and warranty that is provided to their  customers and include a statement on their website disclosing how the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to a sale. 

            BBB also requested It's Your Floor, Inc. modify the “Lifetime Warranty” claim to clearly and conspicuously include the intended meaning of “lifetime” and if the warranty is transferrable upon ownership changes.

            It's Your Floor failed to substantiate, modify or discontinue the advertised claims.
