Since June 2015, the BBB of Houston & South Texas has received multiple disputes that exhibit the following pattern.
According to consumer’s disputes, it has been alleged that ProMed Medical Supplies is placing marketing calls to various medical facilities stating they are offering sample gloves free of charge or that they are the businesses current provider and they will be increasing the price of gloves and are willing to provide 2 cases at the current rate. The gloves arrive without a packing slip. Several days later the consumer receives an invoice for more gloves than received and at an exorbitant price stating that the merchandise is not returnable without written consent from the company. The consumers are not able to reach the company by phone to discuss the order or to return the gloves. The company address provided on the invoice is for a shipping store drop box. The company does not respond or resolve the disputes via the Houston BBB.
The business has provided the following statement to the BBB:
Our company takes every dispute seriously and strives to resolve every situation to the satisfaction of our customers. Our company does not, nor ever has sent sample products or markets sample products to any customer. All customers are instructed that we have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee and that they can return any unused product for a credit within that time frame. Every order that leaves our warehouse includes a packing slip, which clearly states in large letters that the invoice is mailed separately and will arrive within a few days. Every single complaint has been resolved with the customer, no customer has ever voiced a complaint in which an end resolution was not received.
