BBB Code of Advertising states in general, advertising which uses testimonials or endorsements is likely to mislead or confuse if the endorser has a financial interest in the company and is not made known in the advertisement, the consumers experience represented in an advertisement is not the typical experience of those using the product or service, unless the advertisement clearly and conspicuously discloses what the expected results will be.
BBB requested Lost Capital Recovery to amend their advertisement to disclose clearly and conspicuously what an average consumer would expect for utilizing their service or discontinue advertising testimonials.
Lost Capital Recovery also advertises on their Facebook claimed results including advertising they can "Boast A 90% Success Rate With An Average total claim amount of over $8,000 per person."
BBB Code of Advertising states claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy, or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.
BBB requested Lost Capital Recovery to substantiate the advertised success rate and average total claim with recent and competent data or discontinue the advertised claim.
