Specifically, consumer complaints allege difficulties in cancelling club membership contracts, including but not limited to assertions that Texas Family Fitness fails to disclose the terms and acceptable methods for cancellation at sign up, fails to provide an avenue for consumers to cancel their contracts without appearing in person, and fails to make appropriate personnel available at its facility to cancel membership services.
Complaints further allege that even after consumers have completed all of the steps to cancel their membership services, Texas Family Fitness continues to automatically draft their bank accounts for membership dues beyond the cancellation date. Consumer complaints also allege that Texas Family Fitness turns accounts that have been wrongfully accumulated over to a collections agency.
Moreover, consumer complaints allege Texas Family Fitness fails to make full disclosure of all if its fees and terms of membership. Likewise, complaints allege Texas Family Fitness fails to provide all promised services and subsequently fails to provide refunds for promised services not rendered.
BBB requested Texas Family Fitness' voluntary cooperation in eliminating the identified patterns in consumer complaints.
