- Advertising Review:
On 5/17/2019 BBB has come across advertisement of slogan stating:"Best Prices, Best Selection, Best Service!" on the business' website. According to BBB Code of Advertising 12.1 which states: Advertisers must have proper substantiation for all claims prior to dissemination. BBB sent correspondence to the business challenging the "best prices" portion of the slogan and on 6/6/19 Furniture Mart responded to the ad review stating the following: "Furniture Mart has a clear price match policy posted in all nine of our stores to support this claim. Please see the attached Counter Sign." On 6/19/2019 BBB sent a request for additional information as the Advertiser should be able to provide BBB with substantiation that their prices are lower for the same items then competitors. A Price Match Policy doesn't substantiate the "Best Price" claim. As of 8/2/19 Furniture Mart has failed to substantiate the "Best Price" portion of the advertisement.
