VitalChek has advised BBB that response delays from some states Vital Records office are causing delays for VitalChek’s response time to consumers.
"VitalChek is an authorized ordering service for more than 500 government agencies nationwide that are responsible for issuing birth certificates and other vital records. VitalChek has been providing these services for 30+ years and processes more than 2 million vital record orders annually.
The ordering process includes collecting and validating specific information required by the individual issuing agency and then securely submitting that information to the agency for processing and shipping. For security purposes, VitalChek does not handle the certificates nor does it have control over the actual issuing and/or shipping process. These actions are all handled by the government agency responsible for issuing vital records.
