Business ProfileforLevin Furniture Company
Additional business information
Levin Furniture was founded in 1920. Mr. Robert Levin retired from Levin Furniture in 2017, and the company was sold in November 2017 to Art Van Furniture based out of Warren, Michigan.
In March 2020, Art Van closed all stores - including Levin, and in April 2020 filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy ceasing operations. Then in June of 2020, Mr. Robert Levin purchased 19 Levin Furniture stores back. They are pledging to honor customer deposits made to Art Van and take care of all their customers.
Levin Furniture customers that made deposits with the previous owner (and did not receive a refund from their credit card or finance company) have been identified. Those identified customers have been sent a letter via USPS mail and/or email detailing Levin Furniture’s next steps in addressing their deposits.
• If you have placed a deposit for merchandise that was not delivered, you will need to request a refund from your credit card, debit card or finance company.
• For customers that have received a refund from their credit card, debit card, or financing company, Levin will reorder your prior merchandise if available and provide you with an additional 20% bonus furniture credit that can be used on the new order.
• If you paid with cash or check and have not received a refund, Levin will offer a 100% credit on your deposit with the prior company, to fulfill your order or apply to a future purchase. Should you wish to add additional pieces to your order, there is an additional 20% bonus furniture credit that can be used on the new order.
• For those customers who were not able to receive refunds from their credit card, debit card or financing company and no longer wish to place an order, Levin set up a court-administered fund to help assist you. Since this is court-administered, Levin cannot guarantee that you will receive a full refund of your deposit or the timing of any refund. You may contact them at deposits@levinfurniture.com.
• If you purchased a warranty under Art Van Furniture's ownership, it was null and void when they closed. Levin will honor all warranties purchased from the prior owner at Levin-branded stores.
