In an e-mail received by a consumer in May 2015, California Creek University offered a Prior Learning Assessment program that evaluates the skills and knowledge acquired outside the classroom. The university claims to convert the working hours of the student into college credits and awards a degree to them without having to attend any additional courses or classes.
Your BBB advises that many higher learning institutions do offer a prior learning assessment program enabling students to apply relevant learning, work and life experiences toward college credits. However, the student is also required to complete additional coursework before earning a degree.
