On Oct. 24, 2022, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office filed a civil lawsuit in Franklin County Common Pleas Court against defendants Ohio Contractors NM LLC c/0 Mary Hall, Statutory Agent, 3758 Birchrtree Lane, Columbus, OHio 43232, and Terrance King 3898 Keystone Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43209, and Mary Hall, 3758 Birchtree Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43232 charging they violated the consumer sales practices. On Dec. 29, 2023, the court granted a motion for default judgment finding the defendants committed unfair or deceptive acts and shoddy and substandard work in violation of state laws while soliciting, offering for sale and selling home improvement goods and services, including roof repairs and installation. The court ordered the defendants to pay, jointly and severally, consumer damages of $25,194.17, civil penalties of $25,000, and the court prohibited the defendants from engaging in consumer transactions as suppliers in Ohio until all monetary amounts ordered to paid in this action and any other outstanding consumer protection judgments have been satisfied.
