BBB has received information that the name of this business was recently spoofed by scammers in order to execute an employment scam. Consumers reported applying for a work-from-home graphic design position found posted on an online employment site. The perpetrators of the scam collected resumes and conducted interviews. When offered the position, victims were sent a fraudulent check to set up their home office. They were then instructed to take money from the check and send it back to the scammers. Victims were also instructed to send personal information such as copies of drivers licenses, social security cards, and/or copies of checks. 

BBB advises you to exercise caution when responding to offers for work-from-home positions. While ads claim high earnings and short hours with little or no experience, BBB files nationwide indicate no evidence of anyone making the promised money. These ads are rarely an offer of legitimate employment.

BBB also advises you to also be skeptical when receiving a check in conjunction to one of these offers. The instructions accompanying the checks are usually always the same: you are asked to deposit the check and then forward another check to an agent for some sort of fee. Once deposited, the money will appear available before being flagged as fraudulent and rescinded from your account-- and you will be on the hook for any money spent during that time. BBB advises you to wait for your bank to confirm a deposited check is legitimate before using the funds.
