On January 26, 2021, BBB contacted Green CBD regarding a pattern of complaints in which:
- Consumers see an advertisement for a free bottle of CBD Oil. The ad often involves a celebrity endorsement. The consumers gave credit card information which is to cover shipping. Approximately two weeks later, the consumers' credit cards are charged (over $100) for additional products. The consumers say they see monthly charges continue, often from entities other than Green CBD.
- When the consumers return the products for a refund, the business does not refund the entire amount charged for the products and a restocking fee is applied.
- While consumers believe their transactions are exclusively with Green CBD, third-parties are crediting their accounts. BBB requested that the business define the relationship between itself and these other entities, and to inform BBB of any other entities associated with Green CBD. The business did not reply.
- There is no product information on the bottles, no phone, and no address. Consumers believe the business is physically located in Ashland, OH. The business' website only provides a PO BOX located in Ashland, OH.
- BBB has received limited response from Green CBD in addressing complaints.
As of February 9, 2021, BBB has had no response from the business.
