In August 2020, BBB Serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado investigated West Realty business practices. This investigation was prompted by consumer inquiries.

In August, 2020, BBB checked the website https://westrealty.net to determine when it was created. The website was created on July 27, 2020.

During the course of our investigation, BBB found this business is not located at the reported address in Albuquerque, NM. September 29, 2020, BBB spoke with the property management company of the office building at 2511 Broadbent Pkwy NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. They stated that they have not rented any spaces at 2511 Broadbent Pkwy NE to a business under the name of West Realty. BBB is unable to verify the true location of this business. 

BBB made inquiries to West Realty via email and postal mail, the following is a summary of the questions asked:
- All contact information for West Realty, such as their corporation filing, names of owners and names of management. 
- New Mexico Regulations and Licensing Department Real Estate License number for the facility and the qualifying broker.
- Proof that West Realty is the agent of record for properties listed on West Realty.
- Business used for escrow on closings.
- If West Realty maintains an escrow account for future refunds.
- For Title Services, the license of the title company.
- Information for their marketing of timeshare services.
- Fees and costs detailed and explained that may be collected from the Seller of a timeshare.
- Licenses held in any country outside of the United States for performing real estate transactions.
- Three cases with documentation from beginning to end where the clients were released from their timeshares including the final deed documents.
- Copies of the letters the company uses or sends to the resorts.
- Types of payments they accept.
- A list of any resorts that they do not work with or that will not work with them.
- Name and contact information for their attorney.         
- If they tell clients directly or indirectly not to pay their financial payments. 
- If they advise their clients to not contact the resort.
- If they use a subcontractor.
- Who they use to do the work for release of timeshare. 
- Provide any scripts that they use, if calling consumers.

To date, BBB has not received a written response from West Realty to BBB's inquiries.

Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot state with confidence that we have a clear understanding of the business.
