BBB found that the physical address provided by the business as their New Mexico operations addresses appeared to be a virtual office.
In March 2020, Cavalry Financial Services, LLC initially responded to BBB inquiries that their operations address is 10401 Montgomery Pkwy NE Ste 1A, Albuquerque, NM 87111. At that time they would not be able to address BBB inquiries due to the business still being in its infancy stage and looking to be operating in Spring 2021.
In April 2021, BBB Serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado resumed its investigation and inquired about the following:
- Where is the business being operated from?
- The name and contact information for your attorney.
- Do you maintain an escrow account for future refunds?
- What other costs could a consumer incur if they are able to relinquish their timeshare?
- Copy of contract and service agreement.
- Copy of your refund policy.
- Three cases with documentation from beginning to end where the clients were released from their timeshares including the final deed documents.
- Copies of the letters the company uses or sends to the resorts.
- The price range for your services. Is there a price break if the customer has more than one timeshare?
- What types of payments do you accept?
- Title Services- please provide the name, address and license of the title company.
- Who does the work? (release of timeshare)
- How do you market your timeshare services?
- Copies of your marketing materials.
- Copies of any scripts that you use if you are calling consumers.
- Do you receive referrals? If yes, what businesses do you partner with?
- Do you tell your clients directly or indirectly not to pay their financial payments?
- Do you advise your clients to not contact the resort?
- Do you use a subcontractor? If so, who do you use?
- A list of any resorts that you do not work with or that will not work with you.
On April 2, 2021, BBB serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado was contacted by telephone. The caller identified himself as the operator of Cavalry Financial Services, LLC. The business operator stated that the information requested was private and they would not share this information with BBB.
