Ad Review
On March 14, 2017, BBB wrote the company requesting substantiation for the following claims found within the website of On The Ball Cut 'n Haul: "Best Prices Guaranteed." The BBB Code of Advertising states, that despite an advertiser's best efforts to ascertain competitive prices, the rapidity with which prices fluctuate and the difficulty of determining prices of all sellers at all times preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualified underselling/lowest price claims.
Advertisers can truthfully promote a price-match policy. Generally speaking, "price equaling or matching" is when a company offers to match any legitimate competitor's price, without claiming necessarily to have an initial price lower than all competitors.
BBB suggested implementing a clear price matching/beating policy in order to resolve our concerns; however, we never received a response.
The business did not respond to BBB's request for substantiation in its advertising.
