I'm very disappointed with my dealings with steel buildings and structures. In case you don't know,the build size that you think you ate getting is not the size you'll be getting. I went to a dealer for steel buildings and structures, **** **** *****, to purchase the building through them since they are an authorized dealer. I decided on a 22 foot by 26 foot with 14 foot walls. What I have is a 22 feet and 1/2 inch wide and 25 feet and 1/2 long metal building. After several conversations with Jennifer at the company she says the dealer should have explained how a building is measured and the part of her company that receives the order is " supposed to" go over all the details of the order . That never happened. She said that " the overhang of the roof accounts for six inches and that's why the length is 25 feet and 1/2 inch. That is absolutely absurd!. I had concrete poured that measured 23 feet by 27 feet. The concrete slab cost $5600 ! I wasted money by having it at the measurements provided to me by the company. And lastly let me say something about insulation. I was not told by the dealer or steel buildings and structures that insulation was not included. I didn't find that out until the first day of the contractors SBS hired to build the buildings on site. After talking with them they said to insulate the entire building would be $2300 or the roof alone would be $700. I chose just the roof because I assumed I budgeted enough for all that I had expected, I will try not to assume again. Also if I want to have electrical power installed it eill void the warranty, 90 day warranty ! What a joke. That wasn't explained either. This was a horrible experience, I suggest that everyone stay away from them, they are guilty of omission of vital information for customers. Jennifer at the company kept passing the buck and saying "thay should have this and that ", typical passing the buck and deflecting responsibility. Stay away from them !
