On March 4, 2024, the North Carolina Attorney General filed a Complaint, Motion for Temporary Restraining Order, and Motion for Preliminary Injunction against Canary General Contracting and Design, LLC dba Canary General Contracting, LLC, Steven Sand, individually and in his capacity as manager and operator of the business, and Khuneary P. Kim, individually and in her capacity as owner and manager of the business for allegedly violating the North Carolina Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act, N.C. Gen. Stat. §§ 75-1.1 by taking money from consumers but failing to complete the job and for performing substandard, unsafe work that was not up to code.
The matter is pending.
