  • Advertising Review:

In February 2021, Better Business Bureau questioned DiMBy Credit Services' website, https://creditsalvations.net, and Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/DiMBy-Credit-Services, which stated:

    “94% Customer Satisfaction Rating”
“Our packages start at $399.00 for individuals and $599.00 for “married” couples. UpFront fees include Consultation Fee, Administration Fee and Set Up Fee with repair fees beginning 30 days after signup.”
“New clients can text ‘repair’ to 69302 to get a $100.00 off coupon.”
    “75% Off Tax Consulting Services”
“You helped me save $3000.00 in medical fees and remove eight inaccurate items from my credit report.”
“Yes, it is “possible” that the courts will fail to respond in the required period which will lead to the removal of any item(s) reported a court of law.”

According to BBB Code of Advertising, “The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used. An advertisement as a whole may be misleading by implication, although every sentence separately considered may be literally true. Misrepresentation may result not only from direct statements, but by omitting or obscuring a material fact. In addition, according to the Missouri state statute 15 CSR 60-7.020 (1): “A seller shall not make a representation or statement of fact in an advertisement that is false or has the capacity to mislead prospective purchasers.”

BBB asked the business to provide substantiation to the claims made on its website.  The company initially responded that it was out of business, however, its website, Facebook page and phone number remain active.  The business did not respond to follow-up questions regarding the confirmation of its closure.
