Better Business Bureau is advising consumers to use caution when considering doing business with Branson's Nantucket. BBB has received a pattern of consumer complaints alleging failure to cancel a contract, failure to issue refunds, misleading sales presentation, and poor customer service.
On August 23, 2018, BBB sent a follow up letter with its concerns regarding the continuing patterns of consumer complaints. On September 27, 2018 the company responded stating, "We assure BBB we have addressed the issues. We have made several changes to upper management and even our sales managers and sales agents that are in direct contact with our customers on a daily basis. We have made changes across the entire sales process so that our sales agents and managers are compliant and deliver an overall positive customer service, as well as realistic expectations to provide a lifetime of vacations. We have cancelled several contracts, as well as issued refunds when we find merit to do so. One unforseen issue that is driving an increase of complaints is the increase in the amount of contact that 3rd party liquidation/cancellation companies are having with our owners. Our owner base is being solicited by 3rd parties and they are being coached and coerced into writing letters to BBB and Attorney General's in an effort to get out of their contract. We will continue to address complaints as they come in and will continue to address them individually and respond accordingly."
