- Government Actions:Minnesota Dept. of Labor & Industry Consent Order
On October 19, 2020, the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). The Consent Order settles allegations that the business violated Minn. Stat. 326B.082, subd. 11 (b) (6) (8); 326B.809; 326B.821: 326B.824 (2018) and 326B.84 (2) (14) (Supp. 2019). Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to ensure that its contracts with Minnesota consumers comply with Minn. Stat. 326B.809 and 327A.08 (c) and any subsequent statute and/or rule; ensure that all agreements, proposals, estimates, bids, purchase orders, change orders with Minnesota consumers shall be in writing in compliance with Minn. Stat. 326B.809 and any changes in scope or cost of work shall be in writing and signed by all parties. The business also agreed to comply with all continuing education requirements for their qualifying builder, Robert Williamson, and notify DLI within 15 days of any loss or disqualification of their qualifying builder. The business shall also ensure all future communications with DLI are complete and accurate and pay a penalty of $2500.
