- Government Actions:Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry Consent Order
On September 8, 2020 the business entered into a Consent Order with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. The Consent Order settles allegations that the business failed to obtain required building permits, failed to request inspections and fraudulently invoiced consumers for building permits which were not obtained. Under terms of the Consent Order, the business agreed to obtain all required building permits before beginning construction work; not to request final payment from Minnesota consumers until all work is complete and all inspections are completed and have passed by the permitting authority. The business shall also have in place by October 1 2020, a written policy and file for permits and inspections of their work. The file does not require action by subcontractors or other non-employees. All employees will be provided with training for the permit and inspection procedure. The Consent Order was for settlement purposes only and should not be considered as an admission of guilt or finding of violation of the law. For more details go to this link.
