BBB with the use of artificial intelligence, analyzed the complaints on 4/7/24.
BBB shared the findings and recommendations with Ryze Superfoods.
The findings appeared to show:- Unauthorized auto-enrollment in subscriptions and difficulty canceling. The most prevalent complaint is that customers are being automatically enrolled in subscriptions without their explicit consent after making a one-time purchase. Many customers claim they were unaware of the subscription and did not intentionally sign up for it
- Lack of timely refunds. Many customers have complained about not receiving refunds for unwanted shipments or experiencing delays in the refund process. Some have had to involve their credit card companies to dispute the charges
- Unclear or misleading website information. Customers have reported that the subscription information is not clearly disclosed during the purchase process, leading to confusion and unintended subscription sign-ups
For clarity purposes BBB recommended that Ryze Superfoods add more detailed verbiage regarding monthly subscriptions to products to ensure that customers are aware of what they are purchasing or agreeing to when ordering.
Ryze Superfoods on 4/16/24 responded to BBB with:
- Apologizing for poor experience, frustration, confusion, etc.
- Implementing immediate cancellation of account and refunding any unwanted charges.
- Clarify our on-demand and one-time purchase options.
Ryze Superfoods takes this seriously, and is constantly looking for ways to improve transparency for the sake of our customers.
