            In July, 2019, BBB contacted Dixon Leather in regards to polyurethane items advertised on their website as leather. Though item descriptions list "PU" under the category "type," BBB recommended the business modify the language to be more clear in explaining that the items are not made of leather. These types of matters are addressed in the BBB Code of Advertising, in the section "layouts and illustrations."
            Though the business has been responsive to BBB, as of August, 2019, the website has not been modified.

            Additionally, BBB requested clarification on the ongoing sale advertised on the business website. Sales are addressed in the BBB Code of Advertising, in the section "sales."

            The business responded to BBB, and indicated they are running existing sales until the business is to be closed at the end of 2019, but as of April, 2020 the site remains active.

            Pattern of Complaint:
            BBB files indicate this business has a pattern of complaint regarding customer service issues. Consumers report receiving items in different condition and/or size than as advertised, and products not made of leather but rather an artificial materials. Consumers also report difficulties in reaching the business to obtain refunds or make exchanges. BBB alerted the business to these concerns on July 22, 2019 and received a response, but the claims remain on the website.
