I took my dog to tri county animal clinic in Louisa for a post ER visit because he had a seizure. They tested him for erlichiosis and Lyme and he was positive for both. They reassured me that my dog would be safe with them overnight. I was never told no one was there throughout the night. I should have been referred back to the emergency vet for overnight care. They told me they were going to give him fluids and start doxycycline the next day. They told me he would be ok. I called at 1:00 p.m and he was sleeping. The next day at 9 am I called them to tell them we were on our way to get him and the receptionist said I needed to talk to a vet. A vet (not the one that was treating him) got on the phone and told me my dog died during the night. NOONE WAS EVEN THERE. No one called me. No one called me when they opened at 8am. They just waited for me to call. When my husband went to pick him they wouldn't give him to him unless we paid 237 dollars when I had already given them 200 dollars the day before. 237 dollars for what? MY Dog is dead. Also I have requested for them to call me two different times to tell me exactly what happened to my dog and no one will tell me a thing. They also blocked me on their Facebook messenger. This is real life folks. I don't know how he died I don't know what happened I am In complete shock because I have four children who looked at this dog like a sibling. Not to mention I lost my father two days before. I trusted them. Teddy died between 10-11 pm at night and I was never told. Also they put him in a garbage bag. Please do not take your animals here EVER and tell everyone. If I would have taken him somewhere else he would be alive. My family and I deserve answers. Added: I have since talked to the vet after I demanded he return my phone call. He told me he gave him doxycycline before he left for the night. He gave him a medication and didn't monitor his reaction to it. He also left a dog that had previously had a seizure alone.
