Current Alerts For This Business
BBB files indicate this business has a pattern of complaints concerning several issues:
1. Accepting deposits (for 50% of the work) but failing to do the work.
2. Not showing up to do the work and not informing customers that they would not show up.
3. Rarely answering when customers called and rarely responding to customers' e-mails or texts.
4. Giving a host of reasons to explain why they failed to show up: bad weather, car accident, car in the shop, child-custody dispute, doctor's appointment, sick child.
A complainant reported paying a $1,202 deposit. They said the work was scheduled to be started on 2-27-19, but on that day, no one from the business showed up or called. The next day, a subcontracted crew the business had hired came out and did some of the work, but they did not complete the job. The customer texted the business owner the next day but he did not respond. On 3-1-19, the business owner called, explained that his child had been ill, and asked to complete the job. They agreed he would come out the next day. He did not. And he did not call. When they informed him they were taking legal action, he responded with "K."
A complainant reported paying a $2,000 deposit. They said that on ten occasions, the owner had agreed to come to their home but did not. The owner provided several reasons for failing to show: he had a doctor's appointment, he was in a custody dispute, he was in an accident, his child was ill, his truck was in the shop, and the weather was bad. He did not answer their calls or respond to their texts.
A complainant reported hiring the business and paying a deposit. After putting their furniture in storage and booking a hotel room for the nights they expected to be out of their home, on the day the work was scheduled to start, the owner did not show. He e-mailed and said his son was ill. The owner agreed to come out the next morning. He did not come out and he did not call.
