- Advertising Review:On December 23, 2019, BBB Serving Central Indiana challenged several advertising claims made by CBD4Freedom, LLC. Specifically, BBB requested that the business substantiate claims relating to the safety and efficacy of CBD as a medical treatment. The company claimed that CBD is a safe and effective treatment or cure for a range of medical conditions, including: cancer, epilepsy, IBD and Crohn's, PTSD, Alzheimer's disease, and anxiety. Additionally, the company strongly implies that CBD is a safe and effective treatment for cerebral palsy and movement disorders. Because the claims are scientific and medical in nature, BBB requested that the company's substantiation follow commonly recognized principles of quality science. As of January 29, 2019, the company has not responded to BBB's requests. The case has been closed as unsubstantiated.
