- Advertising Review:On June 09, 2019, BBB serving Central Indiana challenged several advertising claims made by the Guyer Institute. These claims appeared on the company website. Specifically, the company made claims pertaining to the safety, efficacy, and success rate of such treatments Pulsed Electromagnetic-Field therapy and Shockwave Therapy. Additionally, the company represented their PRP services as FDA approved in a manner that may be misleading to consumers. BBB requested that the company provide consumers with a disclosure that informs them of the nature of the FDA approval. Although the company initially opted to modify their marketing, no such modifications have been made. As of July 24, 2019, the case has been closed as unsubstantiated. The challenge was brought pursuant to the BBB Code of Advertising, Section 1 - Basic Principles.
