- Pending Government Action:STATE OF INDIANA V. GREENFIELD GRANITE, CO., INC.
The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government’s allegations, which have not yet been proven. On September 18, 2020, the State of Indiana, by Attorney General Curtis T. Hill, Jr., filed a complaint for restitution and loss in the Hancock County Circuit/Superior Court against Greenfield Granite, Co., Inc. The complaint alleges that Greenfield Granite Co., Inc., violated the Indiana Deceptive Consumer Sales Act. The complaint alleges that after executing contracts and taking the consumers' payments, Greenfield Granite failed to provide numerous memorial monuments for which it accepted payment from consumers.
On September 21, 2020, BBB requested that the Greenfield Granite Company, Inc. respond to the allegation made in the pending government action. BBB is currently awaiting a response.
