Pattern of Complaint:

On March 15, 2017, BBB recognized a pattern of complaints from consumers regarding billing and collection issues. Consumers allege upon purchasing products from Law Enforcement Lifestyle, two to three weeks later they are debited an additional $29.97 from their debit, credit or bank account monthly for a membership to TBLA (Thin Blue Line Association) they never agreed to nor is disclosed as a part of the ordering process.  Consumers further allege they are unable to contact the company to resolve this concern.

On May 5, 2017, Law Enforcement Lifestyle provided BBB with the following response.  “Due to some confusion in regard to our $1 dollar bracelet and one month Thin Blue Line Association trial offer, we have canceled the promotion.  We are committed to providing our customers with full transparency and a clear understanding of what we do.  In that regard, we have instituted a new customer service program that every new member that joins the TBLA will receive a welcome call from one of our Customer Service Agents, who will explain the program value, the costs, the benefits and answer any questions our members have.  This requires a significant investment that we feel our members deserve. In regard to the claim that we advertise that we are a non-profit company, we make no such claims and we have audited all of our advertising to ensure that all information about our company is accurate and current.  We do donate generously to the LEO community and we are committed to giving back to the very lifestyle we support.  Our Chairman and or COO are both ex-LEO’s and are diligent about ensuring our product offerings, services and reputation remain professional and ethical. To recap, Law Enforcement Lifestyle and the Thin Blue Line Association have completely revamped our product offerings to ensure there is clarity and transparency regarding the value, commitment and costs.  All of our membership offerings are voluntary, but even though we clearly state that on our website, we will also attempt to contact every new member in order to make sure they are fully informed.  There are too many deceptive practices on the internet these days and we are committed to set our company apart from them.  The very community we support dictates that we remain compliant, professional and ethical.  We are proud of what we do for the LEO support community.”
