- Advertising Review:BBB's role in the marketplace is to ensure the public's confidence in advertising and promote trust in business.
In BBB's general review of 1x Shopper, Inc.'s website, several advertised claims were found for which we requested written substantiation.
BBB reviews advertising on accredited and non-accredited businesses in every medium. Our request is based on BBB's Code of Advertising Standards that can be found at
https://www.bbb.org/code-of-advertising.
BBB's requests are based on this specific code:
Basic Principles of the Code: Advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request.
BBB respectfully requested written documentation or additional information for the following advertised claims:

1x shopper, Inc(r) is currently in contract with eBay and accepting applications for qualified individuals for eBay shopping survey.
BBB Request: Please provide a copy of the contract your firm has with ebay for BBB review only.
Secret shopping as seen on ABC NEWS, NBC NEWS, L.A.TIMES. Stores, organizations such as eBay, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Amazon, Pizza Hut e.t.c. One among many others pays for Secret Shoppers to shop in their establishments and report their experiences. On top of being paid for shopping, you are also allowed to keep purchases for free.
BBB Request: Please provide links and/or clips of all the news stories mentioned in this paragraph.
OUR GOAL: The goal of this survey is to evaluate the efficiency of the human resources of the Walmart network across the U.S given minimal supervision. So you're to walk into a Walmart outlet carrying out your assignment as a normal customer would, not hinting at the fact that you're a secret shopper/surveyor.
BBB Request: On your website it states your company is in contact with eBay. Please provide a copy, for BBB review only, of your agreement with Walmart.
ASSIGNMENT AND COMPENSATION: For the sake of this particular assignment,t you'll be paid an amount of $500 to evaluate a money transfer service at eBay.
BBB Request: What bank does your company use to issue payment? In what form is payment sent?
NOTE: We will provide the money you'll be sent to carry out this assignment as you are not obliged to send a penny out of your pocket. You get paid $500 per assignment you carry out and the minimum you can do is 1 assignment per week. It's possible to take up to 3 assignments weekly if you have the time. And this survey goes on for at least 6 weeks.
BBB Request: At any time do you ask for a portion of the money received by consumers to be sent back to your company? If so, what percentage and why?
