About

Important information

  • Additional Info:
BBB has identified a pattern of complaints against Vicco Web regarding solicitations sent to businesses in the mail. A series of complaints allege the solicitations are designed to look like an invoice, in the hopes that businesses will pay the "bill" and sign up for this company's web hosting services. Despite a notice in the mailing that states the offer is not a bill but is an offer for services, complaints allege the mailings are deceptive.

In December 2020, BBB contacted the business to obtain their position on the pattern of complaints filed.

    The business responded to BBB:

"Most importantly, these complaints are not from our customers.
Not one of our legitimate customers has complained thus far about our enterprise level service.

The complaints stem from non-customers who have never utilized our service ,
    and are misunderstanding our advertisement.

We are simply offering them an alternative to their current web hosting provider.

We send them a payment form to fill out if they wish to switch over to us.
This specific offer on our concise letter, is marked in bold print.

The odd person may still misinterpret this offer as a bill,
due to not reading the document in its entirety.

It must be emphasized, that those who complain have not read the entire letter, even though it is short.
In no way are we deceiving anyone with a lengthy letter filled with fine print.

Those who complain, simply base their feedback upon the first two bullet points, and ignore the latter two.
However, had they scoured the rest of the letter, they would see in bold print that this is not a bill, but an offer."
BBB received similar complaints filed against Main Street Web Pros LLC, which operates out of the same address in Tampa, FL. A separate BBB profile can be found at:
