Customer Complaint
BBB received a pattern of complaints filed against Auto Cargo Export, alleging misrepresentation of fees and delivery dates.
In October 2019, BBB contacted the business to obtain their position.
The business replied, stating that consumers should read the contracts containing all rules and policies. Drivers must follow DOT regulations, which includes driving a maximum of 8 hours per day. Weather, traffic, or mechanical issues may contribute to some delay, however the business requests that consumers understand the timeframe given is only an estimate based on how long it will normally take to reach between pick-up and delivery areas. The business also explained that the pricing given to consumers is based on factory weight of the vehicle, however if consumers leave personal items in the vehicles there will be additional charges based on the weight.
