The Better Business Bureau on two occasions in June 2023 contacted GoLookUp concerning auto-enroll membership fees. These concerns were brought to the bureau's attention due to numerous consumer complaints. Consumers stated that they were auto-enrolled in a membership program without their consent being charged anywhere from $19/mth up to $68/mth.
According to the BBB's Code of Advertising, Basic Principles: The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any claims or offers made before publication or broadcast and, upon request, present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or the Better Business Bureau.
To date the Bureau has not received a response.In addition, in researching the company's address, it appears that the company is using an incorporation service address and does not have a physical presence within the state of Delaware. The BBB has not been able to determine where the company is conducting business.
