  In September 2024, BBB contacted Royâ Medspa regarding claims in its advertising.
  
  Its website and social media pages include many health benefit claims related to the ingredients and treatments offered at its facility.  Below is a sample of some of the health benefit claims in its advertising. 
  "Let us reverse the signs of aging with dermal filler."
  "We use AnteAGE products with our microneedling procedure because they have powerful regenerative anti-aging properties designed through sound evidence-based technologies."
  "PRP is injected into the scalp and can provide visible improvement in the fullness and thickness of your hair within a few weeks or months after treatment."
  "B-12 has been proven to increase energy, decrease fatigue, and keep nerve cells healthy."
  Tri-immune Boost: "A triple immune defense formulation that contains antioxidants and essential minerals that help to support the body’s immune response. This boost contains glutathione, ascorbic acid, and zinc."
  "Prp can be injected in the following areas: Tear troughs (reduce the appearance of under eye bags); Vagina (helps with urinary incontinence, loose vaginal skin, vaginal dryness and diminished sexual pleasure); Penis (helps to improve stamina, girth and achieving stronger, firmer erections); Face (prp facials help to tighten and firm skin, improve moisture retention, enhance skin tone and texture, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles); Scalp (helps to restore hair loss)"
  Liquid Lipo (PCDC) "Permanently reduce stubborn fat with deoxycholic acid (PCDC), which is a bile acid naturally found in the body that breaks down and absorbs dietary fat."
  
  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.  For medicinal and therapeutic claims or claims to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any illness or disease, scientific clinical evidence from human clinical trials is preferred to support these claims.  Substantiation should involve human testing that is blinded, performed by an independent third party, placebo controlled, conducted on a sufficient scope of subjects, and ideally has been peer reviewed. Claims concerning overall uniquely formulated products also require testing on the combination of ingredients in the product.  Specific ingredient claims also require substantiation. The business did not respond to BBB's request that it substantiate, modify, or discontinue its claims. 
  
  Its website states "Only the finest, FDA approved injectables are used at Royâ Medspa because safety and efficacy are top priorities here."  It appears that some products and treatments available at the facility are considered "Off-Label" or not cleared by the FDA.  The business did not respond to BBB's inquiry into whether clients are adequately informed that some treatments are not FDA approved.
  
  The spa offers Medical Weight Loss with Semaglutide: "Semaglutide is an anti-obesity medication that is FDA approved for long-term weight management." BBB asked if the facility is using one or more of the FDA-approved semaglutide products or using a generic or compounded form but did not receive a reply.
