  In August 2024, BBB contacted Jess Drip IV Hydration and Wellness regarding claims in its advertising.
  
  Its website and other online advertising includes many health benefit claims related to the ingredients and treatments offered at its facility.  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.  For medicinal and therapeutic claims or claims to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any illness or disease, scientific clinical evidence from human clinical trials is preferred to support these claims.  Substantiation should involve human testing that is blinded, performed by an independent third party, placebo controlled, conducted on a sufficient scope of subjects, and ideally has been peer reviewed. Claims concerning overall uniquely formulated products also require testing on the combination of ingredients in the product.  Specific ingredient claims also require substantiation. Below is a sample of some of the health benefit claims in Jess Drip IV Hydration and Wellness's advertising. 
  Immunity Drip: "Will boost the immune system, reducing inflammation, decrease blood pressure, and help promote healthy skin and collagen"
  Myers Cocktail: "This drip is excellent for healthy skin, hair, and nails. It primarily is great for detoxification and hydration."
  The Jess Drip: "This drip will boost your metabolism, help in weight loss, and increase mental clarity"
  Vitamin D: "Promotes healthy bones and provides immune system support for staving off colds and other viruses."
  Lipo B12: "3 amino acids that help burn fat and detox liver"
  Vitamin B12 Benefits: "Increased energy, enhanced cognitive skills, metabolism boost, nervous system support, mood regulation, anemia management"
  "Who Needs IV Hydration? Vegans; People who are anemic; People with Crohn's Disease; People with autoimmune diseases; People who had recent abdominal surgery; People with weakened immune system; Dehydrated, smokers, nauseated; People who take vacations"
  The business did not respond to BBB's suggestion that all websites, social media, and marketing materials should be checked to ensure claims that are not able to be substantiated with proper scientific documentation are either removed or modified.
  
  Its website states "Jess Drip IV Hydration and Wellness, LLC is a team involving a Registered Nurse(owner), a Nurse Practitioner, and Liquivida Pharmacy which is 503B FDA sourced so sterile nutrients are top quality" and "Vitamin hydration Therapy is a safe and effective method to replenish fluids and nutrients in the body! All of our products are sourced from FDA approved medical suppliers and regulated pharmaceutical companies. Our formulas are also regulated by our nurse practitioner (NP) to ensure proper dosing."
  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. The business did not respond to BBB's requesting that it provide  substantiation for these claims.
