  In October 2023, BBB contacted True Medical Aesthetics regarding clams in its advertising.
  
  Its website states "Our purpose in delivering excellent service and complete aesthetic care has proven to be the fundamental basis of our practice, providing us the opportunity to treat thousands of satisfied clients."  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.  BBB requested that the business provide substantiation that True Medical Aesthetics has treated thousands of clients since it began business in January of 2022. The business did not respond.
  
  Its website states:
  "Our providers are constantly learning and training to provide the highest quality of care with the highest quality of technology." 
  "At TRUE Medical Aesthetics, we have a wide variety of services available, and our selection of treatments is always expanding and adapting to the latest innovations in the industry." 
  "We offer several different skin treatment modalities based on your specific skin type determined with a science backed skin analysis and your preferences." 
  BBB requested that the business provide documentation showing that staff have been trained and/or certified in the administration of various procedures and treatments, science backed skin analysis, and in the use of devices such as lasers and radiofrequency microneedling.  The business did not respond.
  
  Its advertising includes many health benefit claims related to the treatments offered at its facility. According to the BBB Code of Advertising, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. Some of these claims are as follows:
  "PRF, or Platelet-rich Fibrin Treatment has gained wide popularity because of its excellent healing and rejuvenating properties....Here are some of the benefits you can get when you try our PRF Treatment at TRUE Medical Aesthetics: Lighter and plumper skin under the eyes, reduced wrinkle appearance, smoother skin texture and more even skin tone, healthier and younger-looking skin, firmer and tighter skin, fewer acne scars and dark spots, restored volume in the cheek areas, a more defined jawline, age spots or liver spots, forehead wrinkles, tear troughs, crow’s feet, frown lines, dark under-eye hollows, facial wrinkles, thinning lips, nasolabial folds, smoker’s and marionette lines, and sagging neck and jowls."
  "This laser can reverse signs of aging, soften & remove dark spots, and minimize wrinkles."
  "It will rid the skin of blackheads and whiteheads, and produce skin that is smooth, plump and radiant!"
  "The BodyTone is a unique muscle toning device that uses bio-electric energy pulses to exercise different muscle groups to prevent muscle atrophy...BodyTone results will yield a stronger, tighter core and well-defined muscles in the treated area. In most cases the BodyTone can create up to 30% increase in muscle development."
  "IV Vitamin Therapy is a type of therapy commonly used for its wide range of health benefits. These benefits include anti-aging, increased health and growth of hair, skin and nails, metabolism boost & increased energy, improved immune system, minimized anxiety & improved focus and clarity, muscle recovery, reversed symptoms of hangovers and more. Increase overall wellness and performance levels, boost general wellbeing, and fight free radicals that damage cells and cause illnesses."
  "Studies have shown that people who take Semaglutide for weight management can experience significant weight loss, with many participants losing 10% or more of their body weight within months of starting treatment."
  For medicinal and therapeutic claims or claims to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any illness or disease, scientific clinical evidence from human clinical trials is preferred to support these claims. To date, the business has not complied with BBB's request that it provide substantiation for these claims and claims not able to be substantiated with proper scientific documentation be removed or modified.
