Specifically, BBB noted a large graphic that reads, "GUARANTEED- 98.6% Proven Success Rate" on the business’s website.
BBB requested that the business provide substantiation or revise their website to be in compliance with the applicable provisions within the BBB Code of Advertising. The BBB Code of Advertising addresses claims of this nature in Section 34, where it states, “Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.”
The business initially responded to BBB regarding the above concern on February 9, 2021 indicating they were not willing to change their advertising but may be able provide substantiation. BBB attempted to procure more information from the business through emails sent on February 24, March 15, and March 24, 2021.
The business did not respond further regarding their advertising.
