On December 21, 2021, Better Business Bureau contacted Action Appliance, Inc. concerning an advertising claim found on its website,https://actionapplianceinc.com. Specifically, Action Appliance, Inc. claims, "At Action Appliance we will get out to your house within four hours of when you call for Appliance Service" but does not provide the details of the guarantee. Distance, time of day, and service demands are not being addressed.
Consumers are claiming that Action Appliance, Inc.'s claim to be "at your house within four hours" is not being honored. Consumers allege that in several cases, the service call is responded to well past the four hours and sometimes the next day. In some cases, Action Appliance, Inc. fails to show up or call to reschedule.
When using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale.
Despite written requests, as of January 14, 2022, Action Appliance, Inc. has not responded to BBB’s request for revisions and clarification in its advertising.
